A journey of exihibitions presented by ESGAA
June-November 2011 "Silice Project"

Introduced by ESGAA with the contribution of the cities of Strasbourg and Venice, this project aims at offering during 6 months and in 2 different highly cultural locations a string of contemporary art exibitions emphacising current trends in glass-using design.

Linked by a common tradition in the mastering of fire arts, Strasbourg and Venice have had the know-how to develop exceptionally a personal expression of glass.

However, far from reinforcing technical skills in art, both cities are trying out current and plastic uses of age-old material.
